We believe it is important to give back
PIG is working with St Luke’s Hospice who offer a range of services such as selling white goods, mattresses and divans to the local community to help raise funds for the great work the hospice does.
Founded in 1982 St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth has been providing specialist end of life care to the local community for over 30 years. Having grown from a seven bed unit at Syrena House in Plymstock to the purpose built 12 bed Inpatient Unit in Turnchapel, along with the specialist community service and hospital team, St Luke’s has always had a strong presence in the local community.
We don’t like that people have to sleep on the streets. We are committed to working with local charities to support their efforts by donating and raising awareness.
PIG will be working with PATH who offer a range of services to reduce and prevent homelessness. They work with rough sleepers and support people to maintain their tenancies. Any funds which are raised are used purely for our hardship fund used only to support clients in helping them secure and maintain accommodation.
This could help by providing birth certificates, food, emergency utilities, clothes. It can also help rough sleepers gain access to hostels and other accommodation, especially if they have animals.
